The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission, an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies health care firms and is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.
Services
Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery presently has more than 500 physicians on the medical staff representing specialties such as spine surgery, gynecological surgery, pain management, urological surgery, and endoscopy services.
Center for Disc Replacement
Artificial disc replacement, or ADR (also referred to as total disc replacement), is a type of arthroplasty used to treat chronic, severe back and neck pain. It is a surgical procedure in which degenerated intervertebral discs in the spinal column are replaced with artificial devices in the lumbar (lower back) or cervical (neck) spine. This procedure helps to stabilize the spine while maintaining a natural movement of range and motion. The physicians on the medical staff who are associated with the Center for Disc Replacement have performed thousands of artificial disc replacements and were the first in the United States to perform the procedure.
Joint Replacement
Physicians on the medical staff strive to help joint replacement patients recover from their joint pain, using minimally invasive treatments or procedures, when possible. The areas of focus of the physicians on staff include arthritis, hip replacement, knee replacement, ankle replacement and shoulder replacement.
Pediatric Sleep Diagnostics
Optimal amounts of sleep is vital to a child’s health, happiness, social life and success in school. Constant and regular disruption in your child’s sleep pattern may disrupt the quality of a child’s life. The Pediatric Sleep Institute, a department of Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery, provides the necessary information for physicians to detect and diagnose a child’s sleep disorder. A sleep evaluation can help physicians decide on a successful treatment plan that will benefit both parent and child.
