In 1934, Mr. L.E. Dunn started his lumber company with a commitment to service and professional expertise. Today, the same commitment is practiced in all areas of our expanding company. Mill Creek is still owned by the Dunn family of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is led by Jeff Dunn as President, and his father, Jim, who serves as Chairman.
Today, Mill Creek offers much more than just lumber from its 16 locations. Building professionals, general contractors, as well as designers and homeowners, depend on Mill Creek for just about everything in building materials. In addition to our lumber company Mill Creek has a windows and doors division in addition to its ten carpet and flooring stores. No matter where you shop, you’ll never find a friendlier atmosphere than at one of our Mill Creek locations.
Our carpet division is one of the fastest growing sectors in the Mill Creek family of stores. Arthur Paylor is President of the flooring division and is over both our Mill Creek and Peek’s Carpet flooring brands. Mill Creek Carpet & Tile, started with one location in Tulsa but now there are 10 store locations throughout Oklahoma. The Mill Creek family of companies employs approximately 500 full-time employees. This number includes our Oklahoma lumber division, flooring division with both flooring and lumber stores in Kansas. Additionally we have 4 flooring stores in Dallas serving the Dallas metroplex. In every location, we strive to give our customers a positive experience with our award-winning customer service.
The four flooring stores in Dallas operate under the brand Peek’s Flooring Company. The Peek’s brand has operated as a flooring company in Dallas since 1969. Due to the commitment of unsurpassed service and quality both our Dallas Metroplex flooring locations and the Oklahoma Mill Creek locations have become leading shopping destinations. Both brands routinely service retail customers on remodeling projects and supply general contractors by providing professional flooring design and installation.
