As the leading pediatric health care system in North Texas, Children’s Health is dedicated to providing a full spectrum of health care services to children across North Texas – from daily wellness and primary care to specialty visits and critical care.

In Collin County, the hub of this award-winning system is Children’s Medical Center Plano, a full-service hospital and academic medical center that extends the world-class care offered at Children’s Medical Center Dallas to one of the fastest-growing regions in the nation, serving families in Collin, Denton, Cooke, Grayson and Fannin counties, and beyond.

Being the only pediatric hospital in Collin County, Children’s Medical Center Plano was designed with patients and families in mind, including state-of-the-art operating rooms, 24/7 emergency services, and full-service laboratory, pharmacy, and imaging services. The medical staff includes community-based physicians and board-certified specialists from UT Southwestern Medical Center that are trained in pediatrics, who together provide a vast base of talent and knowledge. When emergencies arise, the emergency department at Children’s Medical Center Plano provides urgent care for infants, children, and adolescents, including critically ill and injured children, as well as transport services when needed for rapid patient transfer to and from other
health care facilities. In addition, the emergency center team includes dedicated clinical pharmacists, respiratory therapists, social workers, and chaplains.

To support young athletes, Children’s Health offers comprehensive, personalized care at the Children’s Health Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Developed under the direction of renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, the multidisciplinary team of highly skilled physicians, surgeons, nurses, and in-house physical therapists work together to treat the full range of orthopedic conditions and sports injuries. With the goal of keeping athletes on the playing field and out of the operating room through injury prevention, the Children’s Health Andrews Institute is the first pediatric provider to work with EXOS, a leader in proactive health and performance, to relieve injured athletes’ pain and discomfort while
providing a quick and safe return to play. It is because of their proven system and methodology that young local athletes can achieve high levels of success – both on and off the field.

Children’s Health is the only pediatric system in the country with eight disease-specific certifications from The Joint Commission — including the treatment of eating disorders. Located at Children’s Health Specialty Center Plano, the Center for Pediatric Eating Disorders is the only program in the nation to have this designation, providing treatment for children and teens, both boys and girls, as young as 5 years old. The specialty center also offers specialty clinics in ear, nose, and throat (ENT); endocrinology; gastroenterology; general surgery; pulmonology; cardiac care and more.

From daily wellness and primary care to specialty visits and critical care, Children’s Health has supported North Texas families for more than 100 years, with the mission to make life better for children.
