60 Years of Service

Sustaining the Tradition of Excellence in the Real Estate Market

On September 18, 1957, members of the Collin County Real Estate Licensees gathered in Plano, Texas. They formed an industry-focused organization and, a year later, received an official charter for the Collin County Real Estate Board. It wasn’t until 1973 that the Board launched its first office. While the organization has undergone various name and location changes, the initial seed has grown to become the fifth largest real estate association in Texas. Sixty years after it was originally founded, the Collin County Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) now serves more than 8,300 REALTOR® and Affiliate members. While the local real estate market has witnessed an influx of new residents and businesses, one thing remains the same— the Association’s commitment to excellent customer service and continued investment to its members’ success.

Building Value Through Values

By joining CCAR, an individual becomes more than a member; he/she becomes a part of the Association’s family. The knowledgeable and passionate team works tirelessly to maintain a broad range of services, tools, and programs that benefit members. In addition to year-round continuing education, designation, and certification courses, the Association assists members with Multiple Listing Service support, networking events, community service opportunities, and an extensive political action program that campaigns for issues impacting REALTORS® and homeowners alike. Other exclusive member benefits include:
